HAIDA PEOPLE REALIZE DREAM OF PERMANENT HERITAGE CENTRE
SKIDEGATE – Premier Gordon Campbell congratulated the Haida people today on the grand opening of the Haida Heritage Centre at Kaay Llnagaay, an internationally-recognized tourism destination celebrating Haida art, culture and traditions.

B.C. HELPS ABORIGINAL LEADERS COMMIT TO SPORTS LEGACY
VICTORIA – The Province has provided $300,000 to bring Aboriginal leaders from across British Columbia together in an unprecedented gathering on sport, recreation and physical activity on the eve of the Cowichan 2008 North American Indigenous Games, Michael de Jong, Minister of Aboriginal Relations and Reconciliation, announced.

WORLD-CLASS ABORIGINAL CULTURAL CENTRE OPENS
WHISTLER – Premier Gordon Campbell joined Squamish Nation Chief Gibby Jacob and Lil’wat Nation Chief Leonard Andrew today to officially open the Skwxwú7mesh Lil’wat7úl (Squamish Lil’wat) Cultural Centre, a world-class venue showcasing Squamish and Lil’wat cultures as well as Aboriginal cultures from across B.C. and Canada.
